Bronze statue of an athlete recovered from Herculaneum

I am a NYC based director of music videos, commercials, branded content and narrative short films. I grew up in Syracuse, NY, well known for overcast skies and cold, snowy winters that form the backdrop of most of the memories of my young life.

I started skateboarding when it was still considered a crime. That led to punk & straight-edge hardcore, which led to starting bands, making records, and touring the US in beat up old vans. We made our scene.

That spirit still drives me.

When I first started in filmmaking, I saw Michel Gondry talk about creativity and making your own entertainment; make the things that you want to see. The people who will love the things that you make are out there, you just have to make it.

(The photo above is of a bronze statue of an athlete recovered from Herculaneum buried by the same eruption that destroyed Pompeii. It bears an uncanny resemblance to me.)
